Today was very complete. I was able to finish up the network at Madrona Hill Cafe. The wireless backbone was completed I should get some pictures of this install as it's pretty slick. Madrona is fed by a wireless link to the owners house down the street.. Seems to be quiet a fast link though I haven't done any speed tests yet. I need to get Jimmy or someone to come by with me some time and set up a vpn tunnel to PTPnet.
I also was able to get the Mentor things I had to finish this weekend done.
And I've been listening to The Da Vinci Code all day on the iPod. It has made the day quiet enjoyable as I've been hacking on all these projects. I think I'll make it through the whole thing today at this rate.
Tonight we're going to a Valentine's Day Party tonight for a while. Should be fun. We'll see.
Update.. There were cakes by the coffee bar.. go figure..
Linguini and Clam Sauce tonight?
Hi..
So it turns out there is a window of oportunity for getting some relief from buying a 15" PowerBook and then having them release a new version 8 days later. You qualify for either getting the difference refunded to you or paying a 10% restocking fee and buying the new one.. Which would basically use up your refunded values if you have a Educational Discount like we did.. But anyway... I'll fill you in on what happens. We're going Thursday to get it figured out.
Other than that.. Upgrades to the Prod system here at work went flawlessly today. That's good. Just testing and what not for the rest of the week. Then moving some databases around again.
Oh yeah.. hardware failure this weekend on the wireless network. The laptop that I had set up as a bridge for the 12dBi omni I have on the roof died. Now I'm trying to figure out a replacement. We'll see how that goes as well.
blar. today would be a good day for random snacks to show up by the coffee bar.
